The Food Service Worker is responsible for assisting in the overall operation of the Campus Food Services.
Education and experience - High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license in good standing, knowledge of food storage, preparation, and serving methods; basic knowledge of Health Department requirements; ServSafe Food Protection Certification desirable or ability to obtain same; must be age 18 or older; minimum one year experience working in food service, at a restaurant, school, nursing facility or hospital required. Must have basic knife skills and previously used commercial equipment such as: flat top grill, fryer, convection oven, slicer, etc.
Skills and abilities - ability to communicate effectively; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships; able to lift 50 lbs.; able to stand for long periods of time; able to handle cash and make change; willingness and ability to conduct self in professional manner and to reflect a positive image of the Campus Food Service department. Individual must be reliable, punctual and display driving desire to work.
