EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS: Have satisfactorily completed a nurse aide education program approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing and a current active CNA certificate from an accredited body and licensed to practice in the State of Virginia and/or eligible to sit for the NNAAP Examination mandated as by the Virginia Department of Health Professionals. High School Graduate or equivalent GED or actively enrolled in an accredited GED program preferred. Current valid Virginia driver's license, and a DMV driving record acceptable to our insurance company. Current active Virginia car insurance. Must have the ability to read, write, and understand the English language. Have satisfactorily passed a competency evaluation program that meets the criteria of 42 CFR 484.36 (b) according to the Code of Federal Regulations CPR certification preferred ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Assist with personal hygiene. Assist with ambulation and exercise. Assist with medications that are ordinarily self-administered. Provides nutritional support as needed by preparation of meals and/or special diets if indicated. Reporting changes in client’s condition in a timely manner. Performs tasks (i.e. ROM exercises, supervises the appropriate use of assistive devices, clean technique dressing changes, and bowel/bladder training programs) as instructed and deemed competent by the RN. Competent in documentation and completes the documentation accurately and legibly, as required and according to agency policy. Attends 12 in-services per year. Follows the plan of care established by RN or documents and reports to the CENN office why POC was not followed.
