Job Title: Derivative Classifier Location: Aiken, SC Position Type: Full-Time Position Description In support of the Savannah River Pit Production project, reviews existing technical and programmatic documents that may contain classified information to create new documents or material and marks the newly developed document or material consistent with the classification markings that apply to the source information. Ensures application of the highest possible standards when derivatively classifying information. Determines whether a document or material contains classified information or whether a document or material’s classification should be upgraded. Reviews existing technical and programmatic documents to determine whether the document or portions of the document’s classification can be downgraded. If not already certified as a Derivative Classifier at the Savannah River Site (SRS), must be able to take and pass initial derivative classification training offered by Works at the Savannah River Site in performance of these functions. Required Skills Working knowledge of federal classification requirements in a classified environment. Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment while adhering to policies and ensuring a high degree of accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on cooperation and teamwork. Ability to work independently. Strong ability to use and apply technology. Education / Experience Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in a technical field. Four (4) years in a technical environment with experience in either engineering, security or applied science.
