The Denison Police Department is a highly professional organization in North Texas located 45 miles north of McKinney and 70 miles north of Dallas with a population of just under 25,000. Our department consists of 62 sworn and non-sworn personnel. We have specialized divisions in Bike Patrol, Honor Guard, Accident Investigations, Criminal Investigations, Special Crimes Unit, Community Relations, and a Special Operations Group consisting of a Tactical Entry Team, Water Rescue Dive Team and K-9 Unit.
