Fort Collins Police Services is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. The City of Fort Collins, Colorado is located at the edge of the Rocky Mountains, and is consistently rated as one of the top cities in America to live and work in.
Fort Collins Police Services offers great pay and benefits, a quality training program, and a one to one take home car plan. New officers start with 200 hours of vacation and time off a year.
Starting salary is $61,169 for Non-POST certified candidates with progression to the top pay level of $83,251 in approximately 3 and a half years of service, and a one-time bonus of 20 hours of award time off in addition to existing vacation time.
Starting salary is $70,948 for POST certified officers, with a one-time bonus of 40 hours of award time off, in addition to existing vacation time.
Lateral Entry Pay Program: If you are currently serving as a full time police officer, with at least three years of service at time of hire, and are eligible for Colorado POST certification, you may qualify for the Lateral Entry Pay Program. Qualified candidates will start at $75,875, and are eligible for top pay 12 months after completion of Field Training. Qualified candidates will receive a one-time bonus of 80 hours of award time, in addition to existing vacation time.
You must be 21 years of age to apply, and have earned at least 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of college credit with a minimum 2.0 GPA.
