The Geriatric Nursing Assistant provides day-to-day direct care to residents/patients, providing assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations and Keswick’s nursing care standards. Provides compassionate care, helping residents/patients maintain or attain the highest practical level of functioning.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of the State of Maryland approved Certified Nursing Assistant program. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION AND REGISTRATION: Registered as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing. Current AHA HCP BLS certification required. WORK ORIENTATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: At least 1 year prior continual experience with the same long-term care facility is required. 2 or more years of service are preferred.
