Cranberry Township, Butler County Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for the position of Systems Administrator to support all Township operations and perform various IT functions including deploying and managing servers, backup solutions, network infrastructure, desktop software & hardware, VOIP telephony and mobile solutions. This position provides support of all enterprise and cloud-based applications and answers support requests. This position has direct interface with department personnel by establishing and implementing communication and training procedures for end users as necessary. This position will work independently to manage projects and tasks under the oversight of the Manager of Network Communications.
The successful applicant must have at least an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or Network Administration and a minimum of 3 years of experience working within a client/server environment. Excellent customer service and teamwork skills are required. The position requires experience administering Microsoft server and client operating systems including Windows Server 2012/2016, Hyper-V, Office 365 (e-mail and SharePoint), Windows 10 and Systems Center Configuration Manager. Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, security best practices, backup systems, networking technologies including VLANs, routing, wireless, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, firewall, VPN and the OSI model is recommended. Applicants must have a valid, insurable driver’s license.
Approximate hourly rate: $26.00 plus health, dental, and vision coverage; vacation, sick and personal time, on-site fitness facilities, tuition reimbursement and other fringe benefits.
